This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies solely to visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California ("consumers" or "you"). It is provided to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, "CCPA"), and describes your rights and how to exercise them.
In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information, as defined by the CCPA:
| Category | Examples | Collected? |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | IP address, online identifiers, cookie/device IDs | Yes |
| Customer records | Name, email address (if voluntarily provided) | Sometimes |
| Commercial information | Records of offers viewed or clicked on the Site | Yes |
| Internet/network activity | Browsing behavior, click data, interaction with ads/offers | Yes |
| Geolocation data | Approximate location derived from IP address | Yes |
| Inferences | Inferred interests based on browsing/click activity | Yes |
| Sensitive personal information | N/A — we do not intentionally collect Social Security numbers, precise geolocation, health, or similar sensitive categories | No |
We use personal information for the business and commercial purposes described in Section 3 of our Privacy Policy, including operating the Site, personalizing content, measuring and paying for advertising performance, and preventing fraud.
In the preceding 12 months, we have disclosed the categories of personal information above to service providers, advertisers, and ad-tech/analytics partners for the business purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
Under the CCPA's broad definitions, our use of cookies and similar tracking technology to support interest-based advertising with third-party advertising and analytics partners may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (specifically, identifiers, internet activity, and inferences) — even though no money changes hands for your personal information directly. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.
You have the right to opt out of the sale/sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out:
We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser/extension signal as a valid opt-out request for the browser session in which it is sent, where legally required.
Submit a request by emailing privacy@thegadgetsolution.com with "CCPA Request" in the subject line and specifying which right you're exercising. We will need to verify your identity before processing a Right to Know, Delete, or Correct request, which may require you to confirm information we already have on file. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require proof of the agent's authorization and may still need to verify your identity directly.
We will respond within the timeframes required by the CCPA. There is no charge to submit or have a request processed, except where the CCPA permits a fee for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests.
We do not currently offer any financial incentive or price/service difference in exchange for the retention or sale of personal information.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request certain information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes without your consent. If this practice changes, you may submit a request using the contact details above.
We may update this notice periodically. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
